Janie C. Beïque — Senior Vice-President, New Economy
Solidarity Fund QFL
Janie C. Beïque was appointed Senior Vice-President, New Economy of the Solidarity Fund QFL in May 2008. She joined the Solidarity Fund QFL in January 2000 as Vice-President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary, responsible for legal and regulatory issues as well as many government matters. She also sat on the Fund’s senior management committee. She sits on the management committee of the Fund as well as on other committees. She is also a member of Réseau Capital’s executive committee and board of directors. In 2005, she was chosen by Lexpert magazine as among Canada’s leading corporate counselors under 40. She has delivered speeches at a number of conferences. She was appointed co-president of Réseau Capital in December 2008.

Pierre Donaldson is Partner of JLA Ventures and BlackBerry Partners Fund. Prior to joining JLA Ventures in 2005, Mr. Donaldson was president and CEO of Bioscrypt Inc. Under his leadership, the company, then Mytec, acquired a major competitor, Biometric Identification Inc., and the two companies merged to become Bioscrypt Inc., a leading North American biometric software firm. During the past 22 years, Mr. Donaldson has acquired extensive experience in the software and high technology industries. JLA Ventures, a $250 million Venture Fund, invests in Internet, digital media, e-commerce, communications security, mobile computing, and enterprise software companies. JLA Ventures, along with RBC Venture Partners, is co-managing the $150 million BlackBerry Partners Fund.

Tom Hawkins joined Arcapita Ventures in 2005 and has more than 20 years of venture capital, entrepreneurial and operational experience. Prior to joining Arcapita, Tom was an Investment Partner with the Corporate Fund of Siemens Venture Capital ("SVC"), the $850 million venture capital arm of Siemens AG (NYSE: SI), where he managed investment activity in the areas of information technology, communications and industrial automation & control. Prior to SVC, Tom was a General Partner with Cordova Ventures, a $250 million venture capital firm in Atlanta, where he focused on enterprise and infrastructure software, communications and industrial technology. Prior to Cordova, he managed Strategic Business Development at Radiant Systems (NASDAQ: RADS).

Amit Srivastava — Managing Partner and CEO
Entrepia Ventures

Amit Srivastava, with over 20 years of venture, consulting and business experience, is the Managing Partner and CEO of $65 million venture capital fund Entrepia Ventures. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Achronix and Intransa and is a Board Observer at Blue Streak, HelloSoft, Freelinc and Vantrix. Operating out of offices in Santa Clara, Tokyo and Montreal, Entrepia was among the first U.S. – based venture capital funds to establish an office in Montreal in 2003 and is an active member of the Quebec venture community.

Marina Weston — Managing Director
Bay Colony Capital

Marina is an experienced analyst in the investment industry and is currently focusing on research for alternative energy and green investment projects. Marina began her career in Europe and worked at Hansabank - Latvia before she moved to the U.S. In Boston, Marina worked in the alternative investment group at State Street Corporation. Her interest in environmental protection and alternative investments led her to focus on environmentally friendly investments.
