Luc Ménard — Vice-President, Venture Capital
Desjardins Venture Capital
Luc Ménard has been Vice-president, Venture Capital of Desjardins Venture Capital since October 2007. Previously, he held the position of Sector Manager, Telecommunications and Investment Manager, Telecommunications with Desjardins Venture Capital.

Desjardins Venture Capital is the venture capital fund management arm of the Mouvement des caisses Desjardins. It also manages the assets of Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, a public fund with more than 122,000 shareholders. More than a financial partner, Desjardins Venture Capital makes its network and expertise available for businesses in their growth and expansion, as well as their plans for mergers, acquisitions or public offerings. Nearly 300 companies are already associated with Desjardins Venture Capital. With more than 30 years of experience in venture capital, Desjardins Venture Capital is present in all regions of Quebec.

Before joining our team in 2001, Luc Ménard worked in large telecom companies in the wireless, traditional network, and cable distribution sectors.

Over the past 15 years, Luc has gained extensive expertise in these sectors, through his active involvement in telecommunication company startups. His experience provides him with the ability to share entrepreneurs’ vision, and thanks to his entrepreneurial spirit and a thorough understanding of the stakes and challenges involved in a constantly changing business sector.

He sits on a number of Boards of Directors.

Luc holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Sherbrooke in Engineering as well as an MBA from Queen’s University.
